Tangerine mollies are bright orange varieties of molly fish (Poecilia), popular in freshwater aquariums.
- Tank: At least 20 gallons, ideally larger for a group
- Water: 24-28°C (75-82°F), hard and slightly alkaline
- Temperament: Peaceful and social
- Diet: Omnivorous; feed quality flakes or pellets plus algae-rich and vegetable foods
- Group: Keep more females than males, around 2-3 females per male
- Breeding: Livebearers that reproduce readily; females can produce dozens of fry
- Tankmates: Platies, swordtails, peaceful tetras, danios, and compatible bottom dwellers
They do best in a fully cycled aquarium with stable water conditions and some open swimming space.
