Widespread throughout South America, this peaceful aquarium habitat is on the all-star team of algae eaters. A shoaling fish, it requires groups of 4 or larger to feel comfortable . Growing to a maximum of 2" these fish are great tankmates for shrimp and much smaller nano and desk top tanks. Primarily feeding on bio film, algae and brown diatoms, it's diet in the aquarium will need to be supplemented with spirulina wafers. Sensitive to sudden and dramatic changes in water conditions so care will be required during water changes.
