A newly discovered species native to the Rio Itanez river basin in Bolivia, this plecostomus is distinguished by it's striking honeycomb patterned body. Additionally, males display soft bushy noses. Growing to a maximum of about 3 1/2 to 4", it has a preference for slightly acidic water. Primarily an algae eater, they also consume excess fish food and detritus.
