The Kribensis is a dwarf cichlid native to river and lake basins in Nigeria and Morocco. One of the rare Western African Cichlids, it is a prized addition for it's peaceful nature and brilliant coloration. Especially in females. The magenta hue is spectacular. As with most other cichlids, these fish exhibit extraordinary parental guidance and fierce protection for teier offspring. They will readily accept commercial flakes, pellets and a wide variety of smaller frozen and live foods. Very interesting fish to watch in the aquarium.
