This peaceful shy cichlid is native to the Orinoco and Amazon River basins in South America. Prefers slower currents, driftwood, live plants and well behaved neighbors. Reaches about %' as an adult and is an absolutely beautiful addition to the aquarium. Will thrive on high quality flakes, pellets and a wide variety of live and frozen foods.
