Another exciting variation of Betta Splendens, here is the Kandy Koi Betta with it's amazing "Coat of Many Colors". As with other antaboid species, they come equipped with a labrynth organ that allows it to breathe air the same way we do. Females prefer the company of other females but only one male can be kept in each aquarium. Otherwise, multiple males will fight to the death. Males and females can be kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful inhabitants. Fin nippers and other aggressive fish should be avoided as tank mates. Acceptable to a wide variety water conditions, these are ideal for the beginning aquatic enthusiast. Diet consists of any commercial flake food or pellet, brine shrimp, black worms and daphnia.
