This delightful community tank fish has been around in the hobby since the early 1900's. Native to waterways of Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra and Borneo, it's native habitat is very similar to the South American fish found in the Rio Negro River Basin. Highly adaptable to a wide range of water conditions, this inhabitant is best kept in schools of at least 6 and prefers a planted environment. Will eat virtually any live food or commercially prepared foods that is small enough to fit in it's mouth. Very peaceful, these fish are great candidates for any community aquarium
