Native to the slower moving rivers and streams of Columbia South America, the Emperor Tetra is an extremely peaceful and attractive addition to any community aquarium. Big fans of live plants and darker substrates they will reach a size of approximately 2" in length. Omnivores, they will accept flakes, smaller pellets and a variety of smaller live and frozen foods like brine shrimp and daphnia. A schooling fish, it does better in groups of 5 or more.
