Dalmation Mollies are not aggressive. The suitable fish tank mates for are small, peaceful fish that require the same water and habitat conditions. Compatible species include guppies, platies, sailfin poecilia latipinna, swordtails, tetras, cories, and other livebearers. Additionally, these fish tend to do well with snails and shrimp. The minimum number of Dalmatian mollies that should be kept together is three. They are social fish and will thrive in groups, with males and females living harmoniously. It’s best to keep an even gender ratio (1 male for every 2-3 females), as multiple males can lead to aggressive behavior. Provide plenty of hiding spots in your freshwater aquarium, like caves or plants, for them to feel safe and secure.
