This stunning variation of betta splendens is a unique addition for any aquarium hobbyist. As with the other antaboid species, they come equipped with a labryrinth organ that allows them to breath air the same way we do. Females prefer the company of other females but only 1 male can be kept per aquarium, or they will fight to the death. Males and females can be kept in a community aquarium with other peaceful inhabitants. Fin nippers and other aggressive fish should be avoided as tank mates. Adaptable to a wide variety of water conditions, these are ideal for the beginning aquarium enthusiast. Diet consists of any commercial flake food or pellet, brine shrimp, black worms and daphnia.
