The incredibly resilient Black Phantom Tetra is native to the river basins of Upper Paraguay and Madeira. Another excellent community tank inhabitant. These fish are found near dense patches of aquatic vegetation in the wild and  very much prefer a planted aquarium. Highly adaptable to abrupt changes in water parameters, it's an excellent choice for the new hobbyist.
